RTHD working sincerely to make Eid holidaymaker's journey safe

DHAKA, March 22, 2025 (BSS) – The Road Transport and Highways Division (RTHD) is working tirelessly to repair roads aiming
to make the Eid-ul-fitr journey safe and comfortable for the passengers.

RTHD Senior Secretary Md Ehsanul Haque said this while speaking at a meeting with stakeholders on National Integrity Strategy, Grievance Redressal Mechanism, Service Delivery Commitment and Right to Information organized by RTHD at the BRTC Bus Depot in Joydevpur, Gazipur.

RTHD Senior Secretary presided over the meeting.

Ehsanul Haque said that thousands of people will leave capital Dhaka for their respective destinations to celebrate Eid with their near and dear ones.

RTHD has already taken necessary measures to ensure smooth Eid journey of the people, he added.

The law and order situation will be ensured on the roads with the cooperation of the Home Affairs Ministry, he said, repair and renovation works on important roads are underway.

Fruitful discussions have been held with the Bus Owners Association to control excess fares from the passengers, he added.

RTHD with the help of the law enforcers will remain vigilant against extortion and robbery on the roads, he said.
