DHAKA, March 29, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today urged all to stay vigilant and careful saying “conspiracy is not over”.

“Conspiracies are being hatched at home and abroad to deprive people from their voting rights. We won’t let it happen. We must establish the people's government by foiling all conspiracies and plots,” he told a discussion of BNP’s city unit in the capital’s Badda.

Fakhrul added, “We are not taking to streets yet. We are going to common people with these Eid items, with Iftar items, we are standing by their side in their happiness and sorrow."

He said if any obstacle is created against national interest, BNP will take to field again. The people know how to get their demands by taking to streets.

“I am saying this because we have to stay prepared,” he said.

Conspirators are from various places wherever they are, whether they are from the United States or in France, they are making evil attempts to incite people to create division among them, he said.

“We are with the people. We are doing politics keeping the people with us. Therefore, no one can mislead us, no one can mislead the people of Bangladesh either,” he said.

“BNP is not for anyone whether it is India or Pakistan, USA, UK. We are for Bangladesh. Our leader Tarique Rahman has said it very clearly that Bangladesh comes first and foremost as it is our motherland,” he said.

“Hasina's downfall was due to Allah's order. Ninety percent BNP leaders and activists were taken to jail. Sheikh Hasina's Awami League government killed around 20,000 leaders and activists. They abducted around 1700 leaders and activists. False cases were lodged against 6 million people. Such precedents are very rare in the democratic history of the world,” he said.

“We have come through that situation. We thank Almighty Allah for His infinite mercy. It seems to me that through His infinite miraculous power, Allah suddenly disappeared Hasina one day. Hasina disappeared on Allah’s order”.

He added, “We have come to a place where we are free from the torture and torture that Sheikh has inflicted on people and are standing in a free environment."

Dhaka City North BNP’s Ward-42 organized the event at Beraida Eidgah ground on Madani Road in Badda in the capital on the occasion of the distribution of Eid gifts on behalf of the party's Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman among low-income people.
