DHAKA, April 2, 2025 (BSS) – Home Adviser Lt Gen (retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury today reiterated that no criminal would be spared.

“We will not grant a pardon to any criminal,” he said while briefing newsmen at Rampura Police Station after visiting six police stations in the capital city.

In response to a question, he said they have instructed the law enforcement agencies, especially the police, to ensure that no one is harassed.

"I instructed police personnel to remain vigilant to ensure that city dwellers can sleep peacefully," he added.

Responding to another question, the Home Adviser said the law and order situation is comparatively better than it was in the last one and a half years.

He thanked the law enforcement agencies for maintaining law and order alongside ensuring the safety and security of the countrymen during the long vacation for Eid-ul-Fitr.

Jahangir said the security personnel did not go on vacation like others during Eid aimed at safeguarding the countrymen.

Earlier, the Home Adviser visited Rampura, Badda, Khilkhet, Bhatara, Hatirjheel and Tejgaon Industrial Police Stations in the morning.
