Bangladeshi rescue, medical teams continuing support Myanmar’s earthquake victims

 
DHAKA, April 3, 2025 (BSS)- Bangladeshi rescue and medical teams are continuing their efforts to assist earthquake victims in Myanmar.
 
Search and rescue teams have begun rescue operations in several buildings in Jubu Thiri Township and Naypyido areas of Myanmar's capital, Naypyidaw, said an ISPR press release here today.
 
In this operation, the local administration and fire service department of Myanmar are providing all-out support.
 
The locals extended their assistance by providing food and water to the rescue team.
 
Besides, the Bangladeshi medical team has started their activities at a 50-bed government hospital in the Bala Theiddi area.
 
A devastating earthquake struck Myanmar on March 28 last.
 
Military search and rescue teams and medical teams were sent to Myanmar on March 30 and April 1, under the leadership of Bangladesh Armed Forces as per the directive of the Chief Advisor.
