The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) Chief Prosecutor Muhammad Tajul Islam said these while taking part in the hearing on a case filed over enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings in the last 15 years.

“We have so far received 800-900 allegations of enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings. Around 300 of those victims were killed. The investigation in 200 allegations is almost completed. We need more time to file probe report in the case,” he said while pleading for two months more time.

After that Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mozumder, Chairman of the three-judge panel of the tribunal set June 24 for submitting probe report in the case.

The ICT on January 6 issued arrest warrants against 11 people including ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, her former Defence Adviser Maj Gen (retd) Tarique Ahmed Siddique and former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed in the case.

The tribunal on February 12 showed Major General (sacked) Ziaul Ahsan, former Director of the National Telecommunication Monitoring Centre (NTMC), arrested in the case. He was produced before the tribunal today for the hearing.
