DHAKA, April 22, 2025 (BSS) - The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka, has instructed all relevant authorities to find out the reasons behind the constant absence of candidates in this year's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations.
The board, in a letter, directed principals and head teachers of all educational institutions under its jurisdiction to submit detailed information about students who have been absent from the examinations since the first day of the examinations, according to a press release issued today.
The data must be submitted via a designated Google Form within the next 15 working days, the letter read.
The board has taken this initiative to gather specific information regarding the absentees, as a significant number of registered candidates are not attending the ongoing SSC exams, which has raised concerns.
"In such a situation, you (authorities of educational institutions) are requested to provide the required information for each absentee through the attached Google Form link within the next 15 working days," the letter read.
The letter further clarified that a separate form must be filled out for each absentee candidate using the following link: https://forms.gle/47kW2ZVKyCX92Lxz8.
Submitting multiple forms for a single student is not allowed, the letter mentioned.
The board instructed that the information should be collected either directly from the examinees or through consultation with their guardians (parent, legal guardian, or a close family member), either in person or via phone.
