KHULNA, April 27, 2025 (BSS) - Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Khulna University (KU) Professor Dr. Md. Rezaul Karim today said that bringing all university activities under automation is indispensable, as achieving accreditation is crucial for enhancing the quality of education.

"There is no alternative to maximising the use of information technology for the advancement of education and research. Introducing automation in academic and administrative activities will increase efficiency and transparency and bring positive changes to overall management," he said.

The KU VC made the remarks in a discussion meeting held at the conference room of the administrative building as the chief guest.

Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Harunur Rashid Khan addressed the meeting as a special guest. Professor Dr Sheikh Alamgir Hossain, the university's Director of the ICT Cell, presented a possible automation plan through a PowerPoint presentation. Mithun Modak, Director (Technical) of Interlink Tech Soft Limited, also presented a concept regarding automation.

Speaking as a special guest, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Harunur Rashid Khan said, "We must increase reliance on technology in every aspect of the university's operations. Everyone involved must work collectively and make sincere efforts to ensure the success of the automation initiative."

Deans of various schools, discipline heads, provosts, directors, and relevant teachers and officers were present at the meeting and provided opinions on the possibilities, challenges, and necessary actions for implementing the automation initiative.
