CHATTOGRAM, July 4, 2021 (BSS) – A total of 300 families of Decorators Owners-Workers Association in the city, got gift items (relief) from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to mitigate their suffering during the lockdown.
Divisional Commissioner Kamrul Hasan handed over the gift items as chief guest to the families of Decorators Owners-Workers Association at city's gymnasium hall of MA Aziz Stadium this noon.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Mominur Rahman presided over the function while Mahanagar Muktijoddha Unit Sangsad Commander Mozafar Ahmed, Additional Deputy Commissioners SM Zakaria and Mohammad Nazmul Ahsan, Executive Magistrates Khandaker Mohammad Ikhtiyar Uddin Arafat, Masud Rana and Nur Jahan Akter Sathy, among others, attended the function.
Kamrul Hasan said that relief distribution activities of the district administration will continue under the supervision of Bangabandhu daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The Divisional Commissioner said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has instructed them to ensure food for the needy and poor people so that no helpless people will be in food crisis during the ongoing lockdown.
“Gift items are being delivered every night to the residences of those who are reluctant to seek help in public or call and text the government on 333. We want no one to fast in this situation,” he added.
