Shahriar leaves for India   

   DHAKA, Dec 8, 2021 (BSS) - State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar 
Alam today left Bangladesh to India for attending the celebrations marking 
the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur 
Rahman, Golden Jubilee of Bangladesh and 50th Anniversary of Bangladesh-India 
Maitri (Friendship).

   The state minister drove to India through Sonamasjid land port in 
Chapainawabganj this morning, a foreign ministry press release said. 

   During the visit, Alam will deliver a lecture on "Fifty Years of 
Independent of Bangladesh" on December 11 (Saturday) at Sister Nivedita 
University in Kolkata. 

   Besides, the state minister will join a book unveiling ceremony organized 
by the Deputy High Commission of Bangladesh in Kolkata. 

   The event will be organized in collaboration with 'Friends of Bangladesh' 
while its president renowned film director Gautam Ghosh to preside over.
