DHAKA, Dec 12, 2021 (BSS) - Information and Broadcasting Secretary Md Mokbul Hossain today said the present government is working relentlessly to face the challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
"We all have to get involved in this effort of the government. From now on, necessary preparations have to be taken to meet the challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution through proper planning," he said.
Mokbul was speaking at a seminar on 'the challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution' in the conference room of Totthya Bhaban here.
The day-long seminar was organised by the Department of Film and Publications (DFP), a handout said.
DFP Director General S M Golam Kibria moderated the meeting while former additional secretary to the government Md Rafiquzzaman presented the keynote paper.
The Information Secretary said the Fourth Industrial Revolution would be a knowledge-based one.
Therefore, he said, the education system should be arranged in such a way so that technical skill is automatically instilled into the students.
Prof Dr SM Mustafa Al Mamun, a teacher of Dhaka University's Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department, also spoke at the seminar.
