DHAKA, Dec 24, 2021 (BSS) - Halima Begum, mother of Additional Inspector

General of Police and Chief of Special Branch Md Monirul Islam, passed away
at a city hospital early this morning.

   Halima Begum breathed her last while undergoing treatment at the intensive
care unit (ICU) of Anwar Khan Modern Hospital this morning at the age of 83,
according to a press release issued by the Police Headquarters.

   Halima Begum left behind one son, three daughters and a host of relatives
and well-wishers to mourn her death.

   She will be buried at her family graveyard in Muksudpur upazila of
Gopalganj district following the namaz-e janaza held at her village home
after Asr prayer.

   Inspector General of Police Dr Benazir Ahmed and DMP Commissioner Md
Shafiqul Islam in separate condolence messages expressed deep shock at the
death of Halima Begum.
