DHAKA July 6, 2021 (BSS) - Prime Minister's humanitarian assistances were distributed today among 100 unemployed tailors, 200 three-wheeler drivers, 43 railway workers, 45 boatmen and 50 people from the Matua community.
The food assistance included -10 kg of rice, two kg of potatoes, 500 gms of pulses, 500 gms of oil and a bar of soap, said a press release.
Khulna Divisional Commissioner M Ismail Hossain was the chief guest at the distribution function of food aid held at Khulna Railway Station premises.
Speaking as the chief guest during the distribution of food items, the divisional commissioner said that food aid was being provided among the people through 333 calls.
He also said that food aid will be delivered to homes of those who are unable to leave their homes due to the ongoing nationwide lockdown.
Additional Deputy Commissioner M Yusuf Ali and M Sadiqur Rahman Khan, Divisional Director of Khulna Labor Department Md. Mizanur Rahman, among others, were present on the occasion.
