MYMENSINGH, Dec 31, 2021 (BSS) - State Minister for Cultural Affairs K M
Khalid, MP, today said the librarians are the logistics suppliers for the
treasury of knowledge.

     "Teachers are the architect for building the nation and the librarians
are the architects for creating teachers. Librarians play an important role
in building a knowledge-based enlightened nation by supplying appropriate
logistics," he said.

     The state minister said this while addressing a seminar organized by
Library Association of Bangladesh (LAB) marking the Birth Centenary of the
Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and golden jubilee of
the country's independence at Mymensingh District Council auditorium this
morning.

     Presided over by LAB Mymensingh unit leader Md Emdadul Haque, the
seminar was also addressed by National University Professor Dr Md Nasir
Uddin, Mymensingh Additional Deputy Commissioner Pervejur Rahman and LAB
Secretary General Mohammad Hamidur Rahman, among others.

     The state minister at the programme assured all to fulfill all the
demands raised by the LAB officials, from his ministry.
