DHAKA, Jan 2, 2022 (BSS) - The National Social Service Day-2022 was
observed in different parts of the country today with the slogan 'Mujib
Borsho er Sofolota, Ghorei Paben Sokol Vata'.
On the occasion, a discussion was held at the conference room of Deputy
Commissioner in Chuadanga with Deputy Commissioner Nazrul Islam in the chair.
The discussion was addressed, among others, by Solaiman Haque Joarder, MP,
and municipality Mayor Jahangir Alam Malik.
National Social Service day was also observed in Rangamati, a hilly
district of Chattogram division. Rangamati Zila Parishad organised a
discussion at its conference room this morning to mark the day with Zila
Parishad Chairman Aung Shwe Prue Chowdhury in the chair. Later, prizes were
distributed among the winners of different competitions in this regard.
In Lakshmipur, cheques of donation were distributed among the helpless
people and patients who are suffering from chronic diseases at a function
that was held at Deputy Commissioner's conference room.
On the occasion, district Social Service Office distributed cheques of
donation among 720 poor people in Pabna this morning.
Besides, Bhola, Natore, Joypurhat and Brahmanbaria also observed National
Social Service Day 2022 through similar programmes.
