DHAKA, Jan 20, 2022 (BSS) - Member of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB)

seized 80,000 pieces of Yaba tablets worth Taka 2.40 crore during a drive in
Balukhali area of Ukhiya upazila in Cox's Bazar district today.

     On a tip-off, a BGB team conducted a drive in the area and challenged
the suspected smugglers. Sensing the presence of the law enforcers, the
smugglers fled away, leaving behind a bag, said a press release here.

     Later, the BGB members found the Yaba tablets inside the bag, it added.

     From January 1 to 20, BGB recovered 4, 18,550 pieces of Yaba tablets
worth over Taka 12.55 crore and arrested five persons during different anti-
drug drives.
