LALMONIRHAT, July 2, 2026 (BSS) - Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu today distributed emergency relief materials and financial assistance among 1,500 flood-affected families in Mogalhat, Rajpur and Khuniyagachh unions under Lalmonirhat Sadar upazila.

He visited the flood-hit areas from 10:00am to 4:00pm and handed over reliefs and cash assistance to affected families.

Speaking on the occasion, Dulu said food and relief assistance were being delivered promptly to flood victims following the directive of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.

He assured that no flood-affected person would suffer from food shortage as the government has taken necessary measures.

“The people of this region will not be free from floods, drought and river erosion until the Teesta Master Plan is implemented. It is now the demand of the time,” he said.
