GOPALGANJ, Jan 27, 2022 (BSS) -  The 11th death anniversary of veteran parliamentarian and former minister Shree Bhabani Shankar Biswas was observed today.

Marking the day, a religious programme and a discussion were held at Bhabani Shankar's residence at Majhigati village under Muksudpur thana of Gopalganj district, a press release said.  

Bhabani Shankar was elected MLA as an independent candidate in the then East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) in 1954 and 1962. He was inducted into the Pakistan Cabinet as the minister for health, labour and social welfare in 1962.
