DHAKA, July 9, 2021 (BSS) - Ekushey Padak winning veteran photographer Golam Mustafa died at his residence in the city's  Eskaton area around 9 am today.

He was 80.

Prominent photographer Rafiqur Rahman Reku confirmed it to the BSS saying that Golam Mustafa was suffering from old-age complications.

Mustafa was Head of the Standing Council of Bangladesh Photographic Society (BPS) and a member of the Editorial Board of 'Photography' in newspapers.

He was the Director of Photography in Bangladesh Television.

Golam Mustafa won the Ekushey Padak in 2018 and the Shilpakala Academy Padak in 2016 for his special contribution to the photography arena.

He will be buried at Azimpur graveyard after holding namaz-e-janaza at the Eskaton Garden Mosque premises in the capital.
