Tk. 1,240 for 12 kg LPG cylinder

DHAKA, Feb 3, 2022 (BSS) - Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has refixed the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) at Taka 1,240 from 1,178 for a 12 kg cylinder at retailer level.

“The newly fixed price of LPG is Taka 1,240, which was Taka 1,178. It will be effective from today at 6pm (February 3) and all licenses of LPG marketing companies will implement the price,” according to a statement issued by the BERC today.

It said the BERC also re-fixed auto gas price at Taka 57.81 per liter, while per kilogram of LPG at Taka 103.34 at retailer level inclusive VAT owned by private sector and Tk. 100.10 per kilogram of liquefied supplied LPG in reticulated system owned by private sector.

According to the BERC decision, new price at retailer level owned by private sector, 12.5 kg LPG has been fixed at Taka 1,292 at retailer level, 15 kg at Taka 1,550, 16 kg at Taka 1,653, 18 kg at Taka 1,860, 20 kg at Taka 2,067, 22 kg at Taka 2,273, 25 kg at Taka 2,582, 30 kg at Taka 3,100, 33 kg at Taka 3,410, 35 kg at Taka 3,617 and 45 kg at Taka 4,650.

According to the BERC details, the price of LPG $775 and $775 per tonne was fixed for February 2022 by Saudi Contract Price (Saudi CP) as per Propane and Butane ratio 35:65. The Saudi CP price was fixed $775 per tonne considering the ration between Propane and Butane average.
