DHAKA, Feb 22, 2022 (BSS) - Fire that broke out at the book stall 'New Market Islamia Super Boi Market' in city's Nilkhet book market tonight, has been doused around 8.50 pm.

Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters' control room duty officer Dewan Azad Hossain told  BSS that they received the news of the fire around 7.43pm.

Being informed, a total of 10  firefighting units rushed to the spot in phases and doused the blaze after their relentless efforts, he added.

The cause of the fire and damages occurred were not immediately known, he said, adding that no casualties have been reported so far.
