Mainia Youth Forum celebrates 9th anniversary with a vow against social menaces

  DHAKA, Feb 26, 2022 (BSS) - The 'Mainia Youth Forum', a youth organization of Maizbhandar Darbar, has celebrated its 9th founding anniversary and the 55th birthday of the incumbent leader of Islamic spiritual hub Sayeed Saifuddin Ahmed Al Hasani through various programmes.

  On the occasion, hundreds of youths vowed to eliminate the social menaces like militancy, drug abuse and dowry system on Thursday at Maizbhandar Darbar, said a press release. 

  The day-long programmes included organizing rally, mass signature campaign against drug abuse, research oriented workshop, photo exhibitions on the works of the youth forum and rear Islamic photos, screening videos, blood grouping and quiz contest.

  Founder of the Mainia Youth Forum and the incumbent leader of the hub Sayeed Saifuddin Ahmed Al Hasani addressed the rally as the chief guest with youth forum President Sayeed Mehbub-E-Mainuddin Al Hasani in the chair.

  Addressing the rally, Saifuddin Ahmed, also the president of Parliament of the World Sufis, said only the youths can save the nation from frustration and immorality in all the sectors and forge strong resistance against all unjust and injustices in the society, including bribery and corruption.

  The youths played a leading role in every mass movements and struggles from the language movement in 1952 to the great Liberation War in 1971, he said, adding "These youth are now indulged in moral degradation".

  The spiritual leader urged the youths to take the country towards desired prosperity by flourishing their merits, creativity and latent potentials.

   Saifuddin Ahmed also urged the youth forum leaders and activists to create mass awareness against drug abuse, violence against women and children and dowry system.

  Mainia Youth Forum Executive President Sayeed Mashuk-E-Mainuddin and Senior Vice President Sayeed Hossain-E-Mainuddin addressed the rally as special guests while forum General Secretary Mohammad Aslam Hossain spoke as the chief speaker.  

  Youth forum Vice President Mohammad Abul Kalam, Assistant General Secretary GM Rabbi, Organizing Secretary Dhali Kamruzzaman Harun, Publicity Secretary Sharifur Rahman and Education Secretary Didarul Haque Rimon were present at the function, among others. 

  On the occasion, a total of 70 people have been awarded in different categories for their special contributions to the organizational activities.

  Following a milad mahfil, a munajat (prayer) was offered seeking the continued prosperity and welfare for the Muslim Ummah and the peace and welfare for the country and the world as well. Sayeed Saifuddin Ahmed Al Hasani administered the munajat.
