DHAKA, March 1, 2022 (BSS) - Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim today said BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir is spreading falsehood among the countrymen.

   "BNP doesn't want continuation of democracy in the Country," he told the triennial council of Dhaka City South Unit AL Kodomtoli Thanas Dhonia Union Wards No-60 as the chief guest in Shonir Akhra area.

   He said BNP doesn't known Dr Zafrullah Chawdhury as Mirza Fakhrul said the BNP has no relation with Zafrullah. Time will come when they will not maintain relationship with BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman, he added.

   Nasim said BNP-Jammat want to turn the country into a militant state. AL leaders and activist will not accept loss of the country.

   The country, he said, is moving forward under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to materialize the dream of Bangabandhu`s 'Sonar Bangla'.

   AL Dhaka City South Unit President Abu Ahmed Mannafi inaugurated the council while Dhaka South City Corporation Mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh was present as special guest.

   AL Dhaka South City Unit General Secretary Humayun Kabir, AL central Workig Committee Member Advocate Sanjida Khanom, vice-presidents of Dhaka City South of AL Nurul Amin Ruhul and Dilip Kumar Ray and Joint General Secretary Mohiuddin Mohi, among others, were present.
