RAJSHAHI, March 2, 2022 (BSS) - Four cultural personalities and a
cultural organisation were awarded and accorded a reception in recognition of
their outstanding contributions to the cultural arena.

    Rajshahi Shilpakala Academy organised the reception programme at its
auditorium on Tuesday.

    The award winning persons are- Dijendranath Banarjee (Drama), Joydeep
Bhadury (Recitation), Rajshahi Theater (cultural organization), Abdur Rashid
(Music) and Jatan Kumar (Musical instruments).

    Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner GSM Zafarullah accompanied by social
worker Shaheen Akhter Rainy and Deputy Commissioner Abdul Jalil handed over
the awards.

    Each of the recipients was given Taka 10,000, wrapper, medal and
certificate.

    Speaking on the occasion, GSM Zafarullah said the contribution of the
cultural persons is very significant to nation-building activities. He told
the audience that the present government has been working relentlessly to
this end.

    The award-giving ceremony was followed by a cultural function performed
by famous artistes.
