All set to observe historic March 7 in Khulna tomorrow

     KHULNA, March 6, 2022 (BSS) - Khulna district administration has taken

up an elaborate programme to celebrate the historic March 7 in the district
on Monday (tomorrow).

     Khulna City and District Unit of Awami League (AL), its associate bodies
and many other organisations have taken day-long programmes and completed
preparations to celebrate the historic March 7 here.

     Different public and private organizations will pay tributes at the
monument of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the
Khulna Betar premises.

     Discussion meeting will be held in the afternoon.

     Local AL leaders said the day will be celebrated to further consolidate
national unity like that in 1971 for building a 'Sonar Bangla' as dreamt by
Bangabandhu under leadership of his able daughter and Prime Minister Sheikh
Hasina.

     The district and city units of AL, its associate bodies including
Chhatra League, Jubo League, Swechchasebak League, Krishak League, Sramik
League, socio-cultural and professional organisations will celebrate the day
through various programmes.

     The programmes include hoisting of the national and party flags at
district and city AL offices, placing wreaths at the portrait of Father of
the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and discussions.

     The District Shilpokola Academy will organise different competitions for
the children and prizes will be distributed among winners of the competitions
in celebration of the historic day.

     An 'Ananda Shobhayatra' with participation of leaders and workers of AL
and its associate bodies, will be brought out from the city AL office and
wreaths will be placed at the Mural of Bangabandhu at Khulna Press Club
premises.

     The epoch-making historic March 7 speech of Bangabandhu delivered at the
then Race Course Maidan, now Suhrawardy Uddyan, will be played throughout the
day in the city and important places all over the district.

     The main discussion will be held at the party's city unit office with
its President and KCC Mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleque in the chair.
