PM's Security Adviser Tarique Siddique calls on Modi

NEW DELHI, March 7, 2022 (BSS) - Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi today expressed his commitment to work with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to further strengthen India-Bangladesh ties.

He made the commitment when Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's Security Affairs Adviser Maj Gen (Retd.) Tarique Ahmed Siddique called on PM Modi here, a statement issued by the Office of Indian Prime Minister said here this evening.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Modi commended the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in ensuring all round development of Bangladesh when he also fondly recalled his visit to Bangladesh in March, 2021.

The Indian Prime Minister conveyed his best wishes to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Siddique thanked PM Modi for strengthening India-Bangladesh friendship and standing firmly with Bangladesh in times of crises, including the Covid-19 pandemic, the statement added.
