RANGPUR, March 17, 2022 (BSS) - The 102nd birth anniversary of Father of
the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Children's Day-
2022 was celebrated today with various programs at Rangpur Cadet College in
the city.

   The celebrations began with hoisting of national flag by Principal of
Rangpur Cadet College Kazi Tazul Islam, psc, in association with Adjutant
Major Md Saidul Haque amid rendering of national anthem on the college ground
at 6:30 am.

   Later, a discussion was arranged at the college auditorium at 10:30 am
followed by cultural functions and screening of documentary films and videos
on the life of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his
historic March 7 speech.

   All cadets, officials and employees of the institution were present at the
functions.

   Principal of Rangpur Cadet College Kazi Tazul Islam, psc, attended the
functions as the chief guest and distributed prizes among the winner cadets
of the drawing and essay writing competitions arranged marking the day.

   The programs also included doa mehfil and offering special munajats at the
mosque of the cadet college seeking divine blessings for the departed soul of
Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

   Besides, a banquet was arranged for all cadets, officials and employees of
the cadet college on its ground marking celebrations of the day.
