DHAKA, March 22, 2022 (BSS) - Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif today said the defeated forces of 1971 are still engaged in conspiracy.

"We will remain cautious against their plots as the killers of '71 continue to conspire," he said.

Hanif said this while addressing as chief guest a council of Bangladesh Islami Oikojot at a city convention hall in the city.

Hanif said the 1971 killers had conspired after the formation of government by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Later, they had killed Bangabandhu and his family members.

He also said the BNP leaders are hatching conspiracy against the present government. They want to pull back the country and they cannot see any development of the government, he added.

The AL leader said the BNP is conspiring against the garments sector as they do not want development of the country's people. Those who don`t recognize Bangabandhu actually do not believe in country's independence.

Bangladesh Islami Oikojot chairman Misbahur Rahman Chowdhury was in the chair while Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin, MP, Justice Momtaj Uddin Ahmed, Principal Ruhul Amin Khan and education secretary of Uzani Madrasa Abdur Rahman, among other, were present in the event.
