DHAKA, March 26, 2022 (BSS) - Prime Minister's Private Industry and 
Investment Adviser Salman F Rahman, MP, today said valiant freedom fighters 
have been honored as 'Joy Bangla' got the recognition of national slogan.

He was addressing as the chief guest a reception of valiant freedom fighters 
arranged by Dohar upazila administration marking the Independence and 
National Day.

Salman, a lawmaker of Dhaka-1 constituency (Dohar- Nawabganj), said the 
rulers during the post 1975 period couldn't accept the Joy Bangla slogan. 

Joy Bangla is not a slogan of any individual or party rather it is the 
national slogan of Bangladesh, he mentioned.

Mentioning that Joy Bangla is slogan of existence of Bangalee nation, the 
PM's adviser said Joy Bangla slogan energized freedom fighters during the 
battlefield of the Liberation War.

Describing freedom fighters as the pride of Banglee nation, he said true 
history of the Liberation War should be presented to the new generation from 
freedom fighters.

Later, Salman F Rahman handed over gift items among the freedom fighters of 
Dohar and Nawabganj. 

Earlier, he witnessed parades of members of police and ansar and students of 
different educational institutions at Nawabganj Pilot School and College 
ground.
