DHAKA, April 2, 2022 (BSS) - Golden Jubilee Bangladesh Concert will be held at Madison Square Garden in New York City on May 6 next for providing cyber security cooperation to children of least developed and poor countries. 

Fifty years back the famous "The Concert for Bangladesh" was organised at Madison Square Garden by former Beatles guitarist George Harrison and Indian sitar player Ravi Shankar to raise international awareness and fund relief for refugees from Bangladesh during the 1971 Liberation War.

Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority under ICT Division will arrange the concert while world renowned band Scorpions and Bangladesh's noted bank Chirkut will perform in it.

State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak disclosed the information at a press conference at Bangladesh Computer Council auditorium here.

High Tech Park Authority Managing Director Bikarna Kumar Ghosh, Head of Partnership of UNDP Bangladesh Sardar Md Asaduzzaman, City Bank Additional Managing Director Sheikh Mohammad Maroof and ICT Division additional secretary (on routine duty) Khairul Amin were present on the occasion, among others.
