RAJSHAHI, April 18, 2022 (BSS)- Rajshahi University of Engineering and
Technology (RUET) has launched an automation software in its central library
aimed at connecting the students and teachers to the digital library uses and
management process.

From now on, any of the students by himself can search out his or her desired
books through using the tools styled "Library Automation based software Koha
(Open Source)" from personal devices.

 RUET Library will enjoy the connecting facility with the world famous big
libraries including Library of congress through the newly launched software.

Vice-chancellor (VC) Professor Rafiqul Islam Sheikh launched the software at
the central library today with Research and Extension Director Prof Faruque
Hossain in the chair.

Mechanical Engineering Faculty Prof Imdadul Haque, Registrar Prof Selim
Hossain and Planning and Development Director Prof Jaglul Sadat, among
others, were present.

Prof Rafique Sheikh said library staff and officers can save time and labours
through the automation process. More than 30,000 books were already connected
with the digital process.

With this breakthrough, long-cherished demands of the students and teachers
of the campus have been fulfilled and they will be benefited enormously.
