DHAKA, Apr 30, 2022 (BSS) - Rizia Begum, wife of former Awami League (AL) president of Chandanaish upazila and heroic freedom fighter Late Advocate Mostafizur Rahman Chowdhury, passed away today while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Chattogram.

She was 82, family sources said.

She is survived by her two sons, four daughters and a host of friends, relatives, well wishers and admirers to mourn her death.

Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road, Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Rizia Begum.

In a condolence message, the minister prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
