DHAKA, May 25, 2022 (BSS) - President of Bangladesh Police Women's Welfare Association (Punak) Jissan Mirza today visited ailing Jannat, who is undergoing treatment at the Orthopedic Hospital in the city, and enquired about her treatment.
She gave dolls, chocolates, fruits and clothes to her. The Punak president talked to the doctors on duty to know about her physical condition and treatment facility.
The eight-year-old Jannat lost her leg in a road accident on her way to home by a CNG-run vehicle four years ago at Sylhet.
Later, the Punak president also visited the ailing cricket lover Fahimul Haque Milon commonly known as Tiger Milon at the same hospital.
Talking to reporters, Punak president said, "Punak is a non-political and non-profitable social organization of the spouses of police officers. "Since I became president of the organization, I have been trying to do something out of the routine work and stand by everyone. With a little effort we stood by Shahjahan, Khokon, Tiger Milon and others."
Among others, Additional Deputy Inspector General of Police Rakhfar Sultana Khanam and Punak health affairs secretary Dr Prothoma Rahman accompanied by her during the visit.
