KHULNA, June 4, 2022 (BSS) - A divisional training workshop on Prime Minister
Sheikh Hasina's 10 special creative initiatives was held today at the Ava
Center of Christian Service Society (CSS) in the city.

Khulna divisional office and governance innovation unit of the Prime
Minister's Office jointly organised the training workshop while Khulna
Divisional Commissioner Ismail Hossain addressed it as the chief guest.

Speaking at the workshop, Md Ismail Hossain said Prime Minister Sheikh
Hasina's 10 special innovative initiatives on the way to build a developed
country by 2041, side by side to achive challenges of Sustainable Development
Goals (SDGs) by 2030.

"Coordination efforts of various development partners of the country's
development will help to face those challenges," he said, adding that proper
identification of field-level problem on the basis of participants views
through workshop can help to play effective role for taking effective plan of
the country.

The chief guest said the United Nations (UN) has started implements SDGs
since 2016. Of the 17 SDGs, 11 were proposed by Bangladesh.

"Actually the PM's Special 10 initiatives and SDGs are tied in a single
string," he said, adding that the country witnessed remarkable development
through implementation of these initiatives.

Ismail said transparency and accountability of every office will be ensured
through implementation of the Right to Information (RTI) Act.

Khulna Metropolitan Police Commissioner (KMP) Md Masudur Rahman Bhuiyan,
Additional Divisional Commissioner (Revenue) Md Shahedul Islam, Administrator
of Khulna Zila Parishad Sheikh Harun-ur-Rashid and Principal of Government
Brozolal College Professor Sharif Md Atiquzzaman, addressed the workshop as
special guests with Additional Divisional Commissioner (Development) Md Abdur
Rashid in the chair.

Magura Deputy Commissioner Dr Ashraful Alam and Project Director of Khulna
Administrative Convention Center Abu Sayed Md Monjur Alam presented keynote
about 10 special innovative initiatives of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Later, 10 participant groups presented recommendations after focusing problem
and challenges to face implementing of the PM's 10 special innovative
initiatives.

Ten initiatives are Palli Sanchay Bank, Ashrayan Project, Digital Bangladesh,
Educational Assistance Programme, door-to-door electricity, Community Clinic
and Mental Health, Social Safety Net Programme, Expansion of Investment and
Safety on Environment.

Deputy Commissioners, high officials of different government departments,
public representatives, teachers, journalists, farmers, among others,
attended the workshop.
