MOULVIBAZAR, June 11, 2022 (BSS) - A fire broke out on 'Parabat Express'
train in Chowk Kabiraji area under Kamalganj upazila of the district this
afternoon, halting rail communication on the Dhaka-Sylhet route.
 
Shakhwat Hossain, master of Shamshernagar Railway Station, told BSS that the
fire originated at a compartment of the train around 12:45 pm and soon
engulfed two other compartments.

On information, seven units of the firefighters reached the spot and brought
the blaze under control at around 2:45 pm.
 
However, no casualties were reported in the fire incident, Shakhwat Hossain
added.
 
A seven-member committee headed by an additional district magistrate was
formed to find out the reason behind the fire incidence.
