DHAKA, June 14, 2022 (BSS) - A schoolboy died after being electrocuted at his house in Jurain area of Kadamtali here last night.

The deceased was identified as Yasin Hawladar, 12, a 3rd grade student at a local primary school, son of Alam Hawlader of Baichandi Malipur village under Nalchiti police station of Jhalokati district.

The incident took place at a tin-shed house on Jurain Medical Road under Kadamtali police station.

DMCH Police Camp in-charge (OC) Bachchu Mia has confirmed the matter to BSS.

"When I returned home at around 9 pm last night, I saw him lying unconscious on the floor near the electricity switch inside the house. His forehead was seared, said Alam to BSS.

He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in an unconscious state, where duty doctor declared him dead at around10 pm.
