Taposh urges all to finish slaughtering activities today

DHAKA, July 22, 2021 (BSS) - Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC)

Mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh urged the city dwellers to
slaughter the sacrificial animals today to make the city clean
quickly.

"Please try to slaughter the sacrificial animals today. Our huge
manpower is engaged in cleaning activities. They also have right to
celebrate Eid and they also need rest. We want to give them an
Eid-holiday for one day," the mayor said.

The mayor was talking to newsmen today after observing the
sacrificial animal wastes removal activities in the control room set
up in the Shitolokka hall of Nagar Bhaban here.

He urged the city dwellers not to leave the animal wastes here and
there instead of putting those in waste bags.

Mentioning that seasonal traders are leaving hides in many places,
he urged them not to do so as it can block the drainage system.

Corporation's Chief Executive Officer Farid Ahmed, Chief Waste
Management Officer Air Commodore Badrul Amin, Secretary Akramuzzaman
and Director General of Transport Department Bipul Chandra Biswas were
present, among others, on the occasion.
