CHATTOGRAM, June 17, 2022 (BSS) - Chittagong District Public Prosecutor (PP) and former president of Chattogram Bar Association AKM Sirajul Islam Chowdhury died of cancer at Park view Hospital in Chattogram on Thursday night.

He was 75, family sources said.

His first namaz-e-janaza was held on Chattogram Court Hill premises at 11 am on Friday. He was buried in his family graveyard at Madarsha village of Barahatia Union under Lohagara Upazila at 3 pm after the second namaz-e-janaza today.

Leaders of Chattogram Bar Association, local political and professional bodies in separate condolence messages expressed deep shock at the death of Sirajul Islam.

In their condolence messages, they prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
