RAJSHAHI, June 28, 2022 (BSS)- Rajshahi University (RU) has launched
insurance service for its regular students.

To this end, Zenith Islami Life Insurance will provide the group health and
life insurance services from July 1, 2022. RU authority has signed a deal
with the insurance company at the senate building here today.
 
Vice-chancellor (VC) Professor Golam Sabbir Sattar, Pro-vice-chancellors Prof
Chowdhury Jakaria and Prof Sultan-Ul-Islam, Treasurer Prof Obayedur Rahman
Pramanik and Registrar Prof Abdus Salam were present on the occasion.
 
Each of the students who will be brought under the scheme will be given Taka
two lakh for death while Taka 80,000 for treatment in hospital.

The beneficiary students will get Taka 20,000 for treatment outdoors four
times in a three months gap each. The students will also get financial
support for consultancy, medical and pathology one more time in a month or
year.

Under the insurance privileges, the students will get support for surgery,
intensive care, blood transfusion, radiotherapy, physiotherapy, oxygen,
dialysis, dressing and mobilization.
