RAJSHAHI, July 21, 2022 (BSS)- A preparatory meeting held here last night stressing the need for successful holding of the upcoming entry test in Rajshahi University (RU).

The three-day admission test for first year honours classes in the 2021-2022 academic session is scheduled to be held from July 25. Around three lakh students and guardians are expected to arrive here for the purpose.

Rajshahi Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton addressed the meeting held at the city bhaban conference hall as a focal person urging the owners of hotels, restaurants and mess not to take extra price of meal and accommodation from the admission seekers and guardians.

He said they want to see a successful admission test with concerted efforts of all quarters as Rajshahi has a fame and dignity throughout the country in terms of best hospitality.

Taking part in the discussion, RU Pro-vice-chancellors Prof Chowdhury Jakaria and Prof Sultan-Ul-Islam said they have taken all-out preparations for successful holding of the entry test.

Enayetur Rahman, President of Mess Owners Association, told the meeting that there are scopes of accommodating around 50,000 students in different mess and dormitories and the students will stay free of cost.

Traffic Inspector of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Ataul Karim Kuraishi said they have total preparations for checking any traffic congestion during the admission test.
