DHAKA, July 22, 2022 (BSS) – Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Dhaka and Rajshahi divisions with moderately heavy falls at isolated places over the country.
Mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Rajshahi and Pabna and it may continue, said a Met Office forecast which will remain valid for next 24 hours begins from 9 am this morning.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajasthan, Hariyana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal to Assam across central part of Bangladesh. One of its associated troughs extends upto Northwest Bay. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate elsewhere over North Bay.
Country’s maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded by 37.5 degree Celsius at Rajshahi and minimum temperature today was recorded by 25.1 degree Celsius at Rangamati. Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am today was recorded by 35 millimeters(mm) at Satkhira.
