DHAKA, July 23, 2022 (BSS) - President M Abdul Hamid today expressed
profound shock and sorrow at the death of Deputy Speaker of the Jatiya
Sangsad (Parliament) and valiant Freedom Fighter Advocate Fazle Rabbi Miah.

In a condolence message, the President respectfully recalled the
contribution of Fazle Rabbi Miah to conduct the House proceedings with skills
and expertise.

"The nation will remember with respect his contribution to the practice and
development of country's parliamentary democracy," the head of state added.
 
President Hamid prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and
conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
 
Fazle Rabbi Miah, also Parliament Member of Gaibandha-5 constituency, passed
away on July 22 (NY time) in New York while undergoing treatment there.
