DHAKA, Aug 16, 2022 (BSS) - Gulshan Club today arranged a discussion and poem recitation named ‘Amar Bangabandhu, Amader Bangabandhu’ marking the National Mourning Day.

Information and Broadcasting Minister and Awami League Joint General Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud addressed the programme as the chief guest with club president Rafiqul Alam Helal in the chair.

In his speech, Hasan paid rich tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and other martyrs of August 15.

KM Rahmatullah, MP, Bangla Academy director general poet Muhammad Nurul Huda, poet Kamal Chowdhury, Inspector General of Police Benazir Ahmed, poet Syed Al Faruque, poet Asad Mannan, poet Soharab Hossain, poet Dilara Hafiz and reciter Rupa Chakkrabarty, among others, addressed the function as special guests.

Later, the minister handed over prizes to the winners of art competition.
