Punak pays homage to Bangabandhu at Tungipara

DHAKA, Aug 22, 2022 (BSS) – For the first time, Police Nari Kallyan Samity of Bangladesh (Punak) today paid homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara in Gopalganj marking the National Mourning Day and 47th martyrdom anniversary of Bangabandhu.

Punak President Jissan Mirza along with other members of the organization paid respect to Bangabandhu by placing floral wreaths at his mausoleum at 11:30am.
 
Although the Punak, founded 35 years ago, but its 22nd President Jissan Mirza along with her office bearers paid homage to Bangabandhu for the first time and placed wreaths there.

In 2021, the Punak led by its current president Jissan Mirza organized a free medical camp at Tungipara, Gopalganj on the occasion of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatun Nesa Mujib’s birth day with permission of the Prime Minister for the first time.

Later in 2022, the Punak also held the free medical camp at Tungipara for the second time.
