DHAKA, August 24, 2022 (BSS) – A school girl was killed and another injured  

as a speeding auto rickshaw hit them near Ashraf Master School in city's
Jurain area under Kadamtali thana, this morning.

The deceased was identified as Maria Akhter,7, an inhabitant of the same
area.

Family sources said, on their way to school around 7:30am this morning, they
were hit by the auto rickshaw while crossing the road.

Being in critical condition, they were taken to Dhaka Medical College and
Hospital (DMCH), where the duty doctors pronounced Maria dead.

DMCH Police Camp Officer in charge (OC) Md Bacchu Mia told BSS that the body
has been kept at the DMCH morgue for autopsy and Kadamtali Thana Police have
been informed about the incident.
