TUNGIPARA, Gopalganj, Aug 27, 2022 (BSS) - Member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Information and Broadcasting Ministry Muhammad Shafiqur Rahman today paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreaths at his mausoleum at Tungipara in Gopalganj. 

After placing the wreath, he stood in solemn silence for sometime as a mark of profound respect to the memory of Bangabandhu. 

Later, Shafiqur Rahman, former president of Jatiya Press Club and a valiant freedom fighter, offered doa seeking eternal peace of the 
departed souls of Bangabandhu and other martyrs who embraced martyrdom on the fateful night of August 15, 1975. 

A special prayer was also offered for sound health and long life of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. 

Muhammad Shafiqur Rahman also signed the visitor's book at the Tungipara 
Mausoleum Complex.

A large number of leaders and activists of his Chandpur-4 constituency, Faridganj Upazila Awami League and its affiliated bodies, among others, were present on the occasion.
