NAOGAON, August 28, 2022 (BSS) - Cheques for medical assistance worth Taka
9.10 lakh were distributed among 19 poor patients, suffering from incurable
diseases, in Porsha upazila of the district today.

On the occasion, a function was held at Upazila Parishad (UP) Auditorium this
noon.

Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder attended the function as the chief
guest and distributed the cheques.

Acting Upazila Nirbahi Officer Jakir Hossain, Upazila Parishad Chairman Shah
Monzur Morshed, Agriculture Officer Sanjoy Kumar, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of
Porsha Thana Johurul Haque and Upazila AL President Md Anwarul Islam and its
Secretary Mofazzol Hossain were present, among others.

Later, Food Minister joined a view-exchange meeting at Naogaon Sadar Upazila
Parishad auditorium with the dealers of Food Friendly Programme and
Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) and Bangladesh Chemical
Industries Corporation (BCIC).

Deputy Commissioner Khalid Mehedi Hasan chaired the meeting.
