DHAKA, Sept 4, 2022 (BSS) - Ruling Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road Transports and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of renowned lyricist, film director and producer Gazi Mazharul Anwar.

In a condolence message, he prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
 
Mazharul died at a hospital in the city around 6:30am today at the age of 79.
 
Five times National Film Award winner Mazharul left behind a son, a daughter and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
