DHAKA, Sept 11, 2022 (BSS) - Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of former Mahila Awami League general secretary, former whip of Jatiya Sangsad and heroic freedom fighter Prof Khaleda Khanam.

In a condolence message, she prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

Prof Khaleda Khanam died of cardiac arrest at her residence here on Saturday at the age of 73.
