KHULNA, Oct 3, 2022 (BSS) - Khulna City Corporation Mayor, whip and
parliament members here today urged Awami League leaders and workers to work
unitedly so that Awami League-backed candidates can win in the upcoming zila
parishad elections to be held on October 17.
"AL leaders and workers will face punishment following the party's
constitution if they violate the party's decision," they said at the view-
exchange meeting with the upazila and union parishad chairmen, members and
councillors at Khulna club here.

Abdul Khaleque, parliament whip Panchanan Biswas, former minister Narayan
Chandra Chanda, MP, parliament members - Sheikh Salahuddin Jewel, Salam
Murshedy, Akhteruzzaman Babu and Gloria Jharna, city and district unit
secretaries MDA Babul Rana and advocate Sujit Adhikary and Sheikh Zalaluddin
Rubel.
Highlighting the development and achievements of Prime Minister Sheikh
Hasina's government, they said the Bangladesh of 13 years ago and today's
Bangladesh are not the same...Sheikh Hasina was born to change the fortune of
the countrymen."
They said AL and front organizations leaders and workers should promote
development activities of the incumbent government, including the Padma
Bridge, metro rail, expressway and modernization of Mongla Port.
