BAGERHAT, Oct 10, 2022 (BSS) - The fifth shipment of machinery for the construction of Bangabandhu Railway Bridge reached Mongla Port in the district today.

A Panama-flagged ship ‘MV Thor-Friend’ carrying 1537.700 metric tonnes of machinery products of 168 packages reached the Mongla port at 12noon, port authorities said.

On September 20, the ship left Singapore’s Hai Phong port.

Rear Admiral Mohammad Musa, chairman of the Mongla Port Authority, said now the goods will be taken to Sirajganj for Bangabandhu Rail Bridge construction on river route after releasing those from the ship.
